Gwernyfed defiant in defeat..
Last Saturday saw a 19 strong Gwernyfed squad travel to Abergavenny for the last
of their pre-
Gwernyfed never let up and helped themselves to a further try from
George Barden whilst Abergavenny took a further two tries and
consequently the game by 25-
Gwernyfed took the lead in the first half with a cheeky try in the far corner from
scrum half Nathan ‘Robo’ Roberts, and another try within five minutes coming from
a run from the halfway line by Gwernyfed’s fast centre Zak Snape, to take the game
to 10-
The second 20 minute half saw Abergavenny pick up pace and a few mistakes from Gwernyfed, pave the way for the Abergavenny side to score three tries in a row.
Gwernyfed took to the field in style, playing some classic rugby against an Abergavenny 40 man squad and with three 20 minute halves to play. Abergavenny used all their players as a development in ready for their new season.
